Jonathan Taylor
|
Jonathan first got involved in the world of marketing when he bought his friend’s
dad’s expensive gold watch for 50p, aged 10. He went on to promote bands at secondary
school. Having got the business bug, he went to the University of Strathclyde in
Glasgow and received a 1st in Marketing back in the days when there were only two
universities in the UK that taught the subject.
Jonathan joined Leo Burnett as a graduate trainee. He worked on a wide range of
blue chip clients, such as Kellogg’s, NatWest, Cadbury, Toshiba, British Gas and
P&G at Leo Burnett, DDB, GGT and Y&R, before becoming MD at Ayer.
Having been invited back to Strathclyde as a Visiting Professor in their Marketing
department, Jonathan joined the Business School of London Metropolitan University
and has developed a range of Marketing Communications programmes. He is joint author
of the leading UK textbook in the field (with PR Smith).
Jonathan is a founding partner of Visionpoint and has led teams on many of our client
projects, including the development of the retirement village at Denham Garden Village
for Anchor Trust. He has recently developed a training programme for the communications
team at BAE Systems.
Jonathan is a member of the faculty of the International School of EACA, the European
Association of Communication Agencies and is the Chief Examiner for the Continuing
Professional Development courses run by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising,
the professional body for UK advertising agencies.
